UI Assets for quest menu, and early concept sketches
Developing themes that don’t focus on combat is a common recreational activity for me. The concept of Backpack Quest is that it takes place in a lighthearted world, where adventurers are lazy when it comes to Inventory Management, and leave that responsibility to Backpack Spirits. The player controls one of these Spirits, and works with Adventurers to assure that the Important Tools are Packed, and that there is Easy Access when they need them.
Although the adventurer can accomplish most tasks without the use of helpful tools, it can be detrimental to the safety of the backpack and the items within.
Tumbles and falls can leave the contents of the Backpack in disarray. As gameplay progresses, unnecessary items can be discarded to make room for new ones that will prove to be useful (but only a clever Spirit will make the right choices).
A series of 2D images created using a method that allows for easy colour variations, both subtle and dramatic, that don't interfere with the lighting.

A quick test character to show style and art direction. The goal was to design a futuristic themed basketball player.

The goal was to create and flesh out a character. She's a tough magic user that likes to show off but always keeps her eye out to make sure her friends are safe.

The goal of the finished product was to create a house with some exaggerated features. I started with rough sketches to get the shape of the structure before moving on to a more refined drawing.
Realm of Empires: Warlords Rising
The overview of Realm of Empires: Warlords Rising. We wanted to completely redesign the game’s UI to make it more modern and accessible. I'd been tasked with updating the UX and UI from Icons, to page layouts, to the main view of the game as well as several illustrations.
Before Warlords Rising I'd worked on the mobile version of the game as well as the intro video that can be seen on the android PlayStore (Here).
